I absolutely loved staying in this lovely hotel, with its friendly staff and delicious breakfasts, making it a perfect spot for enjoying a weekend filled with walks around the picturesque harbor and stunning cliff walks just minutes away from the door. as a solo traveler, I appreciated the immaculate room that provided a cozy retreat after exploring the local attractions including the delightful Polperro Model Village and the Polperro Harbour Heritage Museum, which were both just a short stroll away.

A delightful stay in a charming village atmosphere. The breakfasts were exceptional with quality ingredients, perfectly cooked eggs, and the constant availability of fresh coffee and tea was a major plus. the room had limited shelving for toiletries, which was inconvenient, and the bed was on the firmer side, not to my preference. Parking was thankfully free, which is rare in such areas and appreciated.

The rooms sport tasteful decor and comfy furnishings, making for a nice retreat after a day of wandering. Breakfast options cater well to different diets, including delicious choices for vegans, ensuring everyone starts the day right.

The exterior of the property shows its age, feeling a bit worn and tired. In room 6, while the bathroom was modern, occasional damp odors crept in and the view from the little balcony was marred by persistent cooking smells from a nearby extractor fan. Climbing back to the top of the building can feel like a workout—those stairs certainly get the legs moving. Plus, dining options in the area seem a bit limited, which could take the shine off evenings for some travelers.

The views from my Village View Double room were absolutely breathtaking, showcasing the charming village below. Each morning, I indulged in a phenomenal breakfast, crafted with care—just wait until you try the local eggs! Plus, the honesty bar on the sun terrace made for perfect evening vibes under the stars.

the claremont hotel was an amazin place to stay! the rooms are super clean and cozy, and ours had a lovely view of the village. breakfast was yummy with loads of choices, and the staff were so friendly and helpful all the time. loved the honesty bar for a chill drink on the sun terrace. having private parking is a big plus too, so much easier than findin a spot out in the village.

The outdated decor feels a bit tired, leaving a sense that it could use a fresh update!!! The steep staircases might not appeal to everyone and could pose an inconvenience during your stay!!!

This place suits me perfectly and offers everything I need like free parking, wi-fi, a cozy bar lounge, and helpful staff. They even printed my important documents during my first stay. I highly recommend it for a holiday!

Cozy stay with fab breakfasts!

We had a nice 2-night stay. The room was a bit on the smaller side, but it was comfortable and tidy. Breakfast was the highlight, huge shoutout to Di for being so welcoming and serving up delicious food! The honesty bar was also a cool spot to unwind in the evenings. Just wished there were more parking spots available.
